Time to go home!

Sadly on Thursday it was time to go home. We went to the airport at 10am via shuttle then checked in and boarded our 45min delayed flight. The flight was much smoother than the one to Australia and we only arrived at the airport 5min late! The flight felt so quick because it only took about 2hrs! When we arrived it was late afternoon and looked like it was about to rain. We grabbed our bags off the luggage carousale and headed towards home!

Hope you enjoyed my blog!

Melbourne Zoo!!

On Wednesday we went to the Melbourne Zoo! Dad, Henry and I trained to the station opposite the zoo and we got our tickets at the booth. It was already about 25 degrees and it was only 10:10am! We grabbed a map of the zoo and set of around all the amazing animals. Many of the animals were still sleeping so you had to spot them. There were tigers, meerkats, kangaroos, seals, elephants, zebras, echudinas and tons of other very strange animals. It was a hot day but appart from that, it was the best zoo I had ever been too! There were so many animals to see and luckily we got them all. I highly recommend going there.

Aquarium!

Yesterday, after lunch, Dad, Mum, Henry and I went to the Melbourne Aquarium! We took the tram there and got our tickets. We then raced down to catch the sharks being fed! There were two people fully dressed in divers outfits being swamped by hungry fish. There were so many fish just everywhere you looked. Once we had seen enough we looked at the adorable penguins. They were so cute! Two of them had baby penguins and another two were nesting. We went across and found a big window showing a massive amount of water where penguins were diving and swimming and just jumping about. Afterwards we had a look an octopus, some seahorses, sawsharks, stingrays, you name it, we saw it. You could even go swimming with the, no not the dolphins but the sharks! You could even go into the penguins habitat and  pet them! Although I sadly didn't do that (and I'm sure you wouldn't if you saw the price!). It was great fun at the Melbourne Aquarium and I highly recomend going there.

Shopping!

After the market Dad and Henry tram/trained back to our apartment while Mum, Harriet and I went out to do some.... Shopping!! We walked around stopping at shops as we went but the first purchase we made were some shoes! Harriet got some really cool multi coloured wedges while I got some red and white striped casual shoes. We walked for a while and Harriet got some more clothes but then we struck gold! It was one of the best shops ever. It had so many cute cardigans, tops and dresses! So I got two cardigans and two tops, both so cute. After mum dragged me away we went to a jewellery/clothes place where I got an awesome little elephant necklace. We were running at of time so we decided we should get back before Henry and Dad had eaten all of our lunch of sausages, asparagus and roasted tomatoes. But I was really excited because after lunch we went to the Aquarium!

The Prahran Market Reveiw

Yesterday we took the train from Flinders Station and sped towards the market. When we arrived at the Prahran Market I was basically blown away! It wasn't like any other market I had been was to. It was inside a massive old building with a very high roof. It was all in little sections so one minute you’re surrounded by crackers, cheese and dips then suddenly your amongst practically whole cows hanging from the ceiling. There was Gelato, coffee shops, a saxophone busker, fruit and many strange vegetables. We purchased a loaf of bread, some strange olive and tomato dip, asparagus, tomatoes and some prefect avocado. Overall I would recommend this market. It was more of a produce market rather than a soap and crafts one. I rate it 4/5 and it was definitely worth it.

Prahran Market

This morning I will be going to the Prahran Market! It is Melbourne's oldest market and has lots of fresh vegetables, fruit and meat. It's open from 7am-5pm Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, closed on Wednesday and is open from 10am-3pm on Sundays.

Melbourne!

Hey everyone! Last night we stayed at the Comfort Inn at Sale. I will just stay that we didn't really get the most flash room! Once we had woken, had breakfast and packed up, we headed
out to the Finch's farm (they used to live in Dorie). They moved to a farm in Sale about 4 years ago. Afterwards we drove 210km to Melbourne (where I am now). When we arrived we returned
our rental car and went into our apartment at The Quest. It has 3 rooms and can sleep up to 7 people. It has 3 singles and two double beds. We will be staying here in Melbourne from tonight till Thursday midday when we catch our flight back to NZ! Anyway, yesterday we said goodbye to our lovely house in Echuca and and had a quick look at the towns port which is on the Murray River. We looked at some houseboats and I found a very strange ’Thong Tree’! Afterwards we went over a bridge across the Murray River into the state of New South Wales where we went to a very peculiar market! There were cow skins, beads, sunglasses, cherries and hundreds of other stalls. After the market we headed off on our 5-hour journey to Sale where we stayed last night. That’s all for now!
Will update you soon!
